Maccabi Sports Camp is an overnight Jewish sports camp located in the San Francisco Bay Area in Hayward, California. Our camp welcomes athletes in grades 3-12 from around the United States, Canada, and the world. During our camp sessions, campers develop skills in the sport of their choice – baseball, basketball, soccer, tennis, volleyball, flag-football, and multi-sport.
Sessions
Sessions are for campers entering grades 3-12. Each of the core sports – baseball, basketball, soccer, tennis, volleyball, and flag-football – are offered during each session, while Multi-Sport is available during Rookie Camp and 2nd Session. Our Rookie Camp session for campers entering grades 3-7 gives first-time campers a chance to spend 1 week at camp to get a taste of the sports and community that make our camp unique. Our “Scrimmage Session” for rising 2nd graders gives our youngest campers the full Maccabi Experience in a manageable number of days and builds excitement for future summers.
Location
Our summer home is the gorgeous Cal State University East Bay. The campus of this cozy, intimate public university is nestled above Hayward, CA in a safe and quiet neighborhood with picturesque views of the Bay Area, just thirty minutes east of San Francisco.
Maccabi Cup
The Maccabi Cup is not simply an athletic competition; it’s an epic event that emphasizes teamwork, spirit, leadership, and strong character. During this multiple-day competition, the entire camp is divided into two teams to compete for the honor of having their team name engraved on the esteemed Maccabi Cup which is displayed for future generations of campers.
